Pivot wins Two Festival Awards for 'My Blue Heaven'

The cast and crew took the show to the Fraser Valley Zone Festival in Langley

Pivot Theatre was invited to bring its production of My Blue Heaven to Theatre in the Country in Langley for the Fraser Valley Zone Festival. The festival, held for the first time in two years, featured shows from six other community groups, all adjudicated by Kathryn Shaw.

Pivot snagged two of the drop-shaped glass awards. The first to Margaret Shearman for costume design, specifically for her choice of Leaminn Ma's orange bell bottoms. The other went to Kevin Ibbotson for his foley work while playing the Emcee. Finally, Pivot Theatre was awarded a certificate of recognition as the Best New Theatre Company.
