Synopsis:

A mother pays a surprise visit to the New York apartment of her late son’s ex-partner, who is now
married to another man and has a young son. Challenged to face how society has changed around her — without her — she is finally able to see the rich life her son might have led.

Character Breakdowns:

Katharine Gerard (Female, late 60s, early 70s): Andre Gerard’s mother. She still grieves over her son, who died of AIDS.

Cal Porter (Male, late 40s, early 50s): Andre’s lover and ‘widow’. He is now married with a son.

Will Ogden (Male, approx. 35): Cal’s husband.

Bud Ogden-Porter (Male, 6 years old): Son of Cal and Will. He befriends Katharine.

Notes:

• Auditions are open to everyone regardless of background, race, gender, orientation, or ability. We encourage everyone to audition as we will be casting whoever is best for the role.
